Dallas Downs Homeowners Association

The Annual Meeting of the Homeowners Association will be held on Thursday, December 11th at the Grace Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 1153 Lewisburg Pike. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. Formal notice of the meeting is being mailed to all residents. The notice will include a proposed 2009 proposed budget and dues assessment as recommended by the Board of Directors.

The Nominating Committee will present the names of 3 residents: Doug Burnett, Mickie Cooper and Ron Topinka, who have agreed to be candidates for election to the DDCA Board of Directors in 2009.

Nominations will also be accepted from the floor of the meeting. At present, there are 2 vacant Board positions to fill.

The Dallas Downs Fall Festival on Sunday afternoon, October 26th was a smashing success! Special thanks to Lisa Wurth who organized the event on behalf of the homeowner’s association. Over 45 families attended the barbecue dinner and enjoyed the inflatable jumping pit, games, activities, and live bluegrass music by the Howling Brothers.

Early voting is open to all registered voters in Williamson County. Any voter may vote at an early voting site regardless of their precinct of registration.

Early voting begins Wednesday, October 15th and ends Thursday, October 30 th. Ballots during the early voting period can be cast in person at the Election Commission Office located in the Williamson County Administrative Complex, 1320 West Main Street.

Dallas Downs’ neighborhood garage sale has been scheduled for Saturday, September 27th from 7 AM until 2 PM. If interested in participating, please contact Lisa Wurth at 599-5726 or lisawurth@comcast.net.

Each homeowner must purchase an individual permit from the City of Franklin. Cost is $7.00.

Goodwill Industries will be accepting donations at the pool parking lot from 10AM until 4 PM.

Two of the five DDCA Board seats are up for election at this year’s Annual Member Meeting (date TBA). The DDCA pool will officially close on Monday, September 22nd. Last day to swim is Sunday, September 21st.
